Stop Sleeping on Amazon Posts!

As an Amazon seller, you are constantly looking for ways to grow your brand on the platform. But, what I told you there was a simple way to do that for FREE that very people know about?

Introducing Amazon Posts

Amazon Posts is a program available to brand sellers that essentially functions as a social media platform for brands and products. As opposed to showing off your products in an advertisement or listing format, Amazon Posts is designed for lifestyle images that show off your product being used in everyday scenarios and to tell a story about your brand.

Here are some of the benefits to using Amazon Posts, which is currently available to sellers registered through Amazon’s Brand Registry:

• It is free to use – You can use Posts as often as you like and will not be charged to use the program or for clicks generated through it.

• It can increase discoverability – Amazon Posts obviously doesn’t have the same reach as other social media platforms like Instagram or Facebook, but it is built right into Amazon’s interface and can show up in a number of different places that could increase brand awareness and lead to sales.

• You can measure performances of posts – Review metrics including impressions, engagement, and engagement rates make it easy to see how your Amazon Posts are performing.

How To Create Amazon Posts

You can get started with your own Amazon Posts with just a few easy steps:

  1. Head over to posts.amazon.com to sign in and begin the process.

  2. Click on the “Get Started” button

  3. Select the brand that you want to promote on Amazon Posts

  4. Choose a picture to be your brand logo. This picture will serve as a thumbnail on your Amazon Posts, much like a profile picture on Twitter or Facebook.

  5. Click on “Create post” to make your first post!

The Amazon Post page gives you more details on how to create effective and interesting posts. As always, be sure to use clear and high-quality photographs. And remember to think of these posts as lifestyle and social media type posts; use your product in realistic settings and use captions designed to tell a story or to highlight a unique feature about your product. Great social media posts on Facebook or Instagram could be repurposed as Amazon Posts, and vice versa.

Where Amazon Posts Are Displayed

Unfortunately, there is currently no way for you to control or select where your Amazon Posts will be displayed. Amazon decides where your posts will be displayed based on relevance and customer engagement. Here are the four places that your Posts may show up:

• Your personal brand feed

• A “related posts” carousel on product pages

• A “related brands” feed that is accessible when a customer clicks on a post

• A category feed based on products in specific categories

Considering that this program is free to use and easy to track engagement on with Amazon’s metrics, there’s no downside to giving it a try and testing out different types of posts to see what works best for your products and brands. And since these posts can be repurposed from or for other social media platforms, Amazon Posts can fit right in to your current social media efforts.

Assuming your posts are optimized correctly, expect to see a 10-15% increase in organic traffic! Not a typo.
